BGF/Valmieras Form Strategic Partnership for the Thermal Insulation Industry

GREENSBORO, NC January 16, 2005 - BGF INDUSTRIES, INC. has entered into a long term agreement with Valmieras Fiberglass Corporation to market their E-Glass fiber mat and fiberglass cloth for the thermal insulation industry. Valmieras is a Latvian Corporation specializing in products for high temperature applications.

BGF will be responsible for sales, marketing and distribution of the Valmieras insulation products in the United States, Mexico and Canada.  Valmieras will continue to sell, market and distribute their silica and yarn product lines directly in these countries.
