SilcoSoftT provides excellent acoustical and thermal properties in temperatures up to 2000°F. The distinguishing characteristics of SilcoSoftT which set it apart from other silica products is its cotton-like soft touch and conformability to irregular shapes. SilcosoftT is also non dusting and non irritating and it's 9 micron diameter fiber is non-respirable making handling safe and easy.
SilcoSoftT is produced on state of the art equipment at the Altavista, VA Engineered Nonwovens Facility. It is typically sold in thicknesses from 1/8"-3/4" and widths of 46-48" and can also be engineered to specific customer requirements. SilcoSoftT mat is used in many high temperature applications including industrial furnace insulation, muffler packing, expansion joints, heat shields, and other industrial insulation applications.
